Why I love Edgren

I love Edgren because of the long-standing traditions and the rich history of this residence hall. John Alexis Edgren was quite a man with a dream and passion for living a life pleasing to the Lord. I believe that this same attitude is played out in different ways now through our ARD, RA’s, shift leaders, and others who pour into our residents the love of Christ. And the reason why I love Edgren Hall the most is getting to see God work in the lives of the young men and women who pass through its doors.

Best Thing About My Job

Getting to watch God transform lives. I have found being an RD to be some of the most rewarding work that I have been a part of. It always amazes me how God is not confined to my ideas of how to show love and meet the needs of those He loves so dearly you and me.

Number One Reason to Live on Campus

The unique experience you will have with community. Community has become a buzzword and can easily be overlooked as a nice cliché. However, when I think of community on campus I think of the late night conversations that take place in the halls. I think of the intentional programming that is designed both to engage and challenge us all to see life differently. I think of the real-life struggles that we have to wrestle with and through in order to better ourselves and those around us. Lastly, I think of the lasting and impactful relationships that can be developed in these spaces.
