Main Arrival Schedule for Students in Campus Housing

Thursday, August 25

9 a.m.-3:45 p.m.
(find your specific move-in time)

Move-In for Main Arrivals (by residence hall and by floor): We will be ready to welcome you at your scheduled move-in time. An enthusiastic student team will quickly move all your stuff for you!

Lakeside Picnic and Kickoff Celebration

Lakeside Picnic: Enjoy a complimentary outdoor picnic! Family members eat free, and new students are covered under their meal plan. Come anytime during your designated picnic window. Start by getting a plate outside the CLC south doors, then visit the food stations in any order. Relax on the lawn or bring your food indoors.

Kickoff Celebration: Consider this your official welcome to Bethel! Join us for a big welcome from the Welcome Week staff, President Barnes, student leaders, and more. This is a great way to begin your time at Bethel! Arrive 15 minutes early to get a good seat.

To give you the best possible welcome experience, we've divided the incoming class into two groups for the picnic and kickoff:

Blue Group: Students living in Nelson, Edgren, and Lissner
4:45-6 p.m. | Picnic | West Lawn 
6:15-7:15 p.m. | Kickoff | Benson Great Hall 

Gold Group: Commuters and students living in Arden Village, Bodien, Getsch, Heritage, North Waters, and North Woods
4:45-5:45 p.m. | Kickoff | Benson Great Hall
6-7:15 p.m. | Picnic | West Lawn

7:30 p.m.

Core Group Meeting: Your core group is your key to success during Welcome Week! Your group includes 15-20 other new students and is led by one or two upperclass students who will be a resource to you as you adjust to life at Bethel. You'll walk through Welcome Week together and participate in a variety of events as a team.

10 p.m.

Residence Hall Meeting: Meet and mingle with fellow hallmates at this fun, mandatory meeting. (Upperclass halls will meet the first week of classes.)

Koinonia Worship Service: A Greek word meaning "communion" or "fellowship," koinonia is a service designed to bring the entire Bethel community together to start the school year. As a body, we will worship, be challenged by faculty and student speakers, and take communion in a celebration and dedication of the upcoming school year.
