Chad Boysen
Manager of Alumni and Parent Engagement
Chad Boysen, a 2005 graduate of the College of Arts & Sciences, works with Bethel’s student/young alumni engagement and Phonathon. He’s been at it for the past 5 years and feels it’s a role he was made for.
Why Chad Loves His Job
First and foremost, Chad loves the people.
He embraces the opportunity to collaborate with students through the Phonathon, a program where students call parents and friends of Bethel to ask for their support. Chad says, “I really enjoy working with students. Their talent and energy is fun to be around. Being a witness to—and hopefully playing a part in— their growth and development in their time at Bethel is a lot of fun.”
With a background in sales, Chad enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people. “People’s unique stories and connections to Bethel are always interesting to me.”
Favorite Bethel Experience
Some of Chad’s favorite events at Bethel are Welcome Week, graduation, and “The Homecoming cheer is always a highlight,” he says.
In His Free Time
Outside of work, Chad puts his energy into earning his MBA through Bethel. He loves being outdoors and is an avid runner and a big baseball fan, calling himself “a bit of a sports junkie.” “I also like to read, travel, and find new places to eat and hangout in the Twin Cities with my wife Kristen,” the rural southern Minnesota native says.
