Erin Swanstrom

Coordinator of Alumni and Constituent Programs

Erin's history with Bethel goes back to the fall of 1995, when she arrived on campus as a freshman. Four years and several majors later, Erin graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in Communication.

Before returning to work at her alma mater in May 2011, Erin worked in Christian radio and church ministry. She also attended seminary, where she earned a Master of Divinity degree with emphases in worship and pastoral counseling.

Why Erin Loves Her Job

Erin loves being part of the Bethel community.

“It’s a tremendous privilege to serve at an institution with such a rich history and a clear mission. I especially enjoy serving and building relationships with other alumni. It’s so exciting to hear the stories of what God has been doing in and through their lives since their time at Bethel!”

Favorite Bethel Experience

Erin has tons of great Bethel memories. She says, “I fondly remember leading a RIOT Bible study group, playing powder puff football, serving as a Welcome Week leader, attending Chapel and Vespers, taking a January course in Amsterdam, and going on a Habitat for Humanity trip over spring break. Most of all, I am thankful for the incredible friendships that I developed at Bethel.”

In Her Free Time

When she’s not working, Erin enjoys a wide variety of outdoor and indoor activities. She especially loves singing, reading, entertaining, playing sports, and spending time on Minnesota’s beautiful lakes.
