Event Description

The Royal Run 5k is for Bethel students and alumni, first-time participants and seasoned runners - anyone looking to give back by enjoying the most vibrant run on campus! You'll be splattered with Royal colors as you navigate the course and find your way to the finish line.

Registration includes: a Royal Run T-shirt to cover in (washable) paint, a packet of color, and a gift to the Royal Legacy Scholarship, an endowment provided by gifts from Bethel University students and alumni and awarded to an incoming student every year.

Help provide for future Bethel students while showing your Royal pride and painting the campus blue and gold!

Is The Royal Run timed? The Royal Run is not an officially timed race. If you want to keep track of your pace, we suggest timing yourself with a personal watch!

Will the color ruin my clothes or shoes? The color will wash out from clothes if you prefer not to keep it as a permanent badge of honor. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better but we suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful.  If you'd like to preserve the color in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it.  If you wash your shirt the color will eventually come out.

Are there refunds? Unfortunately, we won't be able to issue refunds due to the nature of registration. If for some reason you can’t make it to the race on May 3rd, we'll still be able to get your registration packet to you after the event. Email if you've registered but your plans change.

Will the race be canceled if it rains? We'll be running rain or shine. After all, a little drizzle never stops a Royal! In the event of severe weather warnings, stay close to your email for updates.

Could I be allergic to the color powder? The main ingredient in the color powder is cornstarch, so if you have a corn allergy, please contact us to determine if you might be in danger of an adverse reaction.
