CAPS/GS Guest Information
We look forward to hosting you on campus for commencement. The information below will help you make the most of this special celebration.
Sunday, May 25
1 and 4 p.m. | Doors open 1 hour before the ceremony starts.
Benson Great Hall
Ask your student to which ceremony he or she is assigned. Students report for lineup 1 hour before the ceremony. You do not need tickets. Seating is on a first-come basis. Because the ceremony is formal and the acoustics are lively, you are encouraged to make other arrangements for babies and young children.
All facilities and parking on campus are accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you need accessible seating, arrive when doors open and ask your usher for assistance. If you need a sign language interpreter, or if you have questions about accessible seating, email email@example.com as soon as possible.
A reception for graduates and their guests will take place in Brushaber Commons after the ceremony. Hallway hosts will direct you to the reception. Plan to meet your graduate at the reception. Signs identifying degree programs will be posted throughout the reception area as gathering points for grads, guests, and faculty. Refreshments will be available.
The route from the ceremony to the reception is a moderate walking distance with stair and elevator options. A limited number of complimentary wheelchairs are available. Ask your usher or a hallway host about availability.
Please direct questions about commencement to your student first. If you still have questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
