National Prayer Initiative
Bethel College alumni and Florida residents Don and Nadeen Dye head up one of the many National Prayer Initiative (NPI) teams across the country providing Bethel with faithful prayer support. The Dyes’ team in the Orlando area is one of several groups that meet in the state.
Don and Nadeen accepted the responsibility of serving as Prayer Team Leaders in December in 2005. The team meets regularly and includes several of their former Bethel classmates who live in the area. Each item on the monthly Prayer Points is “assigned” to a team member to share in the prayer time.
“I attended a team meeting several months ago, and the mission of Bethel University was affirmed,” says Marie Schultz, former NPI coordinator. “The members were so appreciative of their student days and reflected on how God had worked during those days. Their prayers focused on God’s faithfulness to Bethel and gratitude for the many aspects of growth on the campus.”
Don, who also is a Bethel Seminary graduate, was a longtime BGC pastor. The couple’s son, Dan, is president of AgHorizons, a Cargill company, and an adjunct professor in the MBA program offered by Bethel’s Graduate School; Dan was the 2006 Bethel University Alumnus of the Year.
