Conference on Sociological Perspectives on Reconciliation

Join us for the second of a five-year series of conferences exploring sociological insights on reconciliation.

This year’s conference will encourage you to:

  • Define “reconciliation” broadly, including issues of disability, religion, gender, race and ethnicity, and class.
  • Address how Christian sociologists envision the New Testament teachings on reconciliation and help apply them in the 21st century.
  • Address the question of whether structural experiences (e.g., studying or living abroad) are effective in shaping people’s commitment toward reconciliation.

Although the central focus of the conference is on sociology, we encourage participation from a wide range of disciplines.

Sponsors

The conference is sponsored by The Moberg Lectureship on Christianity and Sociology, Bethel University Office of Diversity, and Bethel Antiracism and Reconciliation Commission.
