Newly Accepted Student Information

Have you recently been accepted to Bethel?  Have you paid your enrollment deposit?  Then this page is for you!

**If you have NOT paid your enrollment deposit, please contact the Office of Admissions.

How do I register for classes?

  • If you have paid your enrollment deposit, then you need to fill out a Registration Packet. This is the information used to register you for classes.
  • Once you have filled out the correct Registration Packet, please return it at an Admissions Event or to the Office of the University Registrar.
  • After the registrar's office has received your Registration Packet, we will register you for classes based on the following information from the packet.

        Your chosen major(s)/minor(s)
        Any transfer work
        Any AP or CLEP tests
        Your SAT or ACT scores
        Your high school preparation

  • Generally, when registering students, we follow the Four-Year Plan for your chosen major. However, the Four-Year Plan is only a suggested sequence of courses. If you are not registered for some of the classes listed on your Four-Year Plan, this does not mean that you will be off track.

When will I receive my schedule?

  • Students Starting in the Fall

You will receive your schedule in late July. We start registering students on June 1, and it does take some time to work through all the new students.

If you have not received your schedule by the first week in August, please call the registrar's office.

  • Students Starting in Interim or Spring

You will receive your schedule in December. We register students as we receive their registration packet materials and mail out schedules as students are registered.

If you have not received your schedule by the first day of classes, please stop into the registrar's office and we will give you a copy.

How can I change my schedule?

If you would like to make changes to your schedule, please contact the registrar's office via phone or email. We would be glad to help you make any changes.

Please be aware that classes may be full or are only offered at certain times.

***The last day to add or drop a class without penalty for Fall or Spring Semester is the 5th day of class.

How do I register for music lessons, choir, band, or orchestra?

Placement auditions for music performance groups and private music lessons are arranged through the Department of Music. Please contact Cindy Reents in the music department (651.638.6380) to locate audition sign-ups and to register for private music lessons. Fees for music lessons are billed when the lessons are added to your schedule.
