Professor of Theology at Bethel Theological Seminary located at 3949 Bethel Drive, St. Paul, Minnesota 55112. Dr. Rakestraw is a member of the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Christian Ethics, and the Evangelical Theological Society among others. He is co-editor of the two-volume textbook set Readings in Christian Ethics (with Dr. Clark) and the author of numerous articles ethics and theology. The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit and the Doctrine of Holiness are his favorite courses to teach. A former pastor, Rakestraw still enjoys preaching and frequently leads seminars in theology and ethics in area churches.
