Bethel University's graduate school offers an M.A. in Counseling in a face-to-face format, and our seminary offers an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy in a blended format. Both programs include hands-on clinical training, giving you the opportunity to apply what you've learned. M.A. in Counseling
The M.A. in Counseling program will prepare you to become a clinical mental health counselor who provides competent and compassionate mental health services. With its specialty area of clinical mental health counseling, this program will help you cultivate the knowledge and skills you need to serve the diverse and changing communities in which you live.
M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy
The M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy program will prepare you to offer mental health services as a licensed marriage and family therapist. You'll collaborate with clients to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families through a systemic framework. With its emphasis on relational therapeutic modalities, this program will help you develop and mature as a helping professional in our richly diverse world.

Bethel’s play therapy certificate is designed for students with busy lives who want to execute their goals and advance their careers. Featuring flexible schedules, hybrid courses, and experiential training, our certificate will empower you to offer specialized counseling services.
B.A. in Social Work (B.S.W)
In Bethel's B.A. in Social Work program, you’ll learn to use your compassion for others in ways that honor their dignity and worth as people. You’ll learn to integrate a deeply rooted faith perspective into social work practice, considering social justice, reconciliation, ethical practices, and human rights.
Master of Social Work (MSW)
In Bethel’s Master of Social Work, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need in a program rooted in justice and liberation principles that define contemporary social work practice and theory. In our classes, you’ll gain the most recent knowledge in the field and have opportunities for hands-on application, equipping you for a successful career in clinical and community social work practice.
