Biography
Muraski currently works in a private practice setting after working 6 years at a small clinic in rural MN specializing in providing treatment to very young children and their families. She graduated from Adler Graduate School in 2015 and after that obtained a two year post graduate certificate in Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health at the University of MN and graduated in 2018.
She is passionate about cultivating relationships with clients to create a safe place to elicit change and aim to foster hope and encouragement in client's lives! She specializes in working with children and families and specifically have extensive experience providing services in infant and early childhood mental health as well as provide mental health treatment to those that are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Muraski works with all ages but specifically ages 0-10 and their families and working with adults. She absolutely loves what she does!
Muraski is a Registered Play Therapist and enjoys working with children using their natural way of communicating through play to help process their big emotions and being able to begin to manage their big feelings and explore their inner strengths to heal. She has training in attachment focused modalities, supporting the parents in their relationships with their children, and teaching parenting skills. Muraski has experience working with children that have also been adopted, have trauma histories, or have been or still are in foster care.
She is also trained in EMDR therapy. EMDR therapy has been proven to be effective in treating trauma/PTSD. It may also be able to help treat other mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. She is passionate about using EMDR with all ages including adults and children.
In addition, Muraski has training in Experiential Play Therapy, Traumaplay, and Theraplay which are a variety of play therapy modalities focusing on working with children impacted by trauma and including parents in the therapeutic process.
She partners with MN Adopt, who supports Minnesota's adoptive, foster, and kinship families and professionals who work in the community. She provides psycho education and therapy to these families and children who need it.
Muraski is also a MN Board Approved Supervisor and can supervise those on the LPC/LPCC track for licensure.
