Biography

Ju Young Lee, D.M.A., is an organist, pianist, and conductor originally from South Korea. She earned her B.A. in organ performance and her M.Mus. in choral conducting from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, and her D.M.A. in organ performance and secondary in choral conducting from the University of Minnesota, where she was a student of Dr. Dean Billmeyer. She has been actively involved with numerous choirs as a conductor, accompanist, and singer both in South Korea and the USA. As a music educator, Dr. Lee has taught at Gangreung-Wonju National University, Kwangshin University, and Yonsei University Future Education Institute. She also served as a visiting scholar in the Choral Activities of Music Department at the University of Wisconsin River-Falls. Currently, she holds the position of Organist at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina and Co-Director of Keyboard Activities and Organ Instructor at Bethel University in St. Paul, and serves as one of the Board Members of Twin Cities AGO.
