Biography
Gregg Lindberg was appointed as the City Manager for the City of Burnsville in April of 2022. Prior to this role, Gregg served as the Deputy City Manager for nearly three years, overseeing the Departments of Human Resources, Communications and Community Engagement, Finance, Information Technology and the City Clerk. While in Burnsville, Gregg has championed the creation of a culture where people are recognized for their strengths, have the chance to grow, and are empowered to create great experiences in their community.
Before joining Burnsville, Gregg served for 15 years as the Human Resource Manager at Three Rivers Park District, where he transformed the organization’s culture with the creation of an Organizational Development function, building from the ground up a collection of strategic initiatives to improve organizational health and performance and help people and teams be their best.
Gregg received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Hamline University in 2013. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from Bethel University. Gregg is passionate about developing the next generation of leaders. He teaches in the Business and Economics department at Bethel University and in Public Administration programs at Hamline University.
Gregg also holds certifications as an International Public Management Association Senior Certified Professional (IPMA-SCP), a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator.
