Biography

Meghan grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota, and always thought she would be a marine biologist. In high school, she volunteered with a group of women from her church that led a girl's summer camp in the Dominican Republic. Through that experience, she fell in love with the Spanish language and the world of possibilities nursing could offer. A woman she traveled with was a women's health nurse who through her nursing stories, aspirations and counsel inspired Meghan to pursue a career in nursing to better serve her community. In college, her clinical experiences both domestically and abroad piqued her interest in maternal and newborn care and that passion for caring for women and children has only been cemented further with her labor and delivery experience. She believes that caring for pregnant persons is an honor and it's a blessing to bear witness to a new life being welcomed into the world!  As a staff RN at Regions Hospital, she has served not only her patients but also fellow colleagues by serving as a new nurse preceptor, nursing student preceptor, Maternal Assessment Center trainer as well as serving on her Unit Practice Council Committee and Maternal Care Committee. Additionally, Meghan researched, created, and presented educational material on labor support/comfort measures and intentional positioning to better help her colleagues support patients desiring physiologic birth experiences. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, traveling and experiencing new cultures, and working towards a PADI "Master Scuba Diver Certification". She is extremely excited to work with the faculty and students at Bethel and looks forward to getting to know everyone!
