Syllabi Compilation and Creation Resources

Curated Sample Syllabi

Find a compilation of sample syllabi and community engagement frameworks, guidelines, and other resources that the Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) has curated.

  • These syllabi do not all fit within the guidelines for creating z-tag courses at Bethel, but we hope you can draw from them for inspiration for your own course curriculum design.
  • They span a variety of disciplines, from accounting to music and everything in between.
  • These syllabi also come from institutions of all varieties (public, private, Evangelical, Catholic, secular/non-religious-faith-based institutions) across the United States and the globe.
  • We trust your ability to discern which example syllabi — if any — will work for your course.
  • Finally, these syllabi have been collected from other academic institutions which have generously made their sample syllabi publicly available. We ask our faculty and community partners to honor this by not distributing or copying these syllabi, and instead use them as inspiration for your own work in community-engaged learning.

Curated Syllabus Creation and Community Engagement Guidelines

These are frameworks other institutions have created for community engagement, Community Engaged Learning syllabus creation, etc. They may be useful to you in designing Community Engaged Learning courses.
