Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, integrate and document solutions to meet computing needs of the university
  • Develop, update, and maintain reports for internal and external use
  • Develop, update, and maintain data imports and exports to and from internal and external sources
  • Assist university offices in maintenance of accurate and consistent data
  • Interact with third-party vendors as a technical liaison as needed

Required Skills

  • Must have knowledge of and significant experience in writing SQL (structured query language)
  • Must have proven experience working with report writing tools and database development tools
  • Must have knowledge of and experience in structured programming and scripting languages such as Java, Groovy, PL/SQL, and Perl
  • Must be comfortable with understanding end-user requirements
  • Must have good writing skills
  • Must have good interpersonal, communication and listening skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple ongoing tasks in a controlled environment
  • Must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in a mature, professional manner

Required Experience

  • 4-5 years of experience in a critical analysis and problem solving environment

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field required.

Additional Information

Must be able to work in a sitting position at a computer for extended periods of time.
