Event Description
Primetime at BU Library presents a Not Ready for Primetime presentation by Andy Johnson that focuses on some of the most serious and common forms of interpersonal violence—men's violence against women—as they affect persons in diverse religious cultural groups and the interesting challenges they present for psychotherapists and other mental health professionals.
Religious clients and their therapists may both be unaware of facets of the client's religious culture that disavow men's violence against women, that can be beneficial and supportive of the predicament of survivors, and that can provide healthy nonviolent understandings and life choices for men with violent behavior.
