Event Description

Primetime at BU Library presents Dr. Matthew Mayhew, Associate Professor of Higher Education at New York University. Dr. Mayhew has been invited to Bethel by Marion Larson (English), Sara Shady (Philosophy), and Amy Poppinga (History). They are working with Dr. Mayhew on a project they are designing for faculty regarding integrating interfaith study and experience into their courses for a Talk About Teaching presentation. Dr. Mayhew is interested in how collegiate conditions, educational practices, and student experiences influence learning and democratic outcomes. Mayhew has received several grants for exploring the impact of college on student outcomes, and will be presenting his research on the impact of interfaith interaction on students moral and spiritual development.
