Where does culture differ when language does not? US culture is historically and linguistically linked to English culture, so “culture shock” can happen much more subtly when American students visit England than when they visit other countries. In this presentation, Bekah will reflect on her semester in Oxford, England, exploring in particular the subtle differences between English and American culture—and how she found them.
