Starting the Conversation: Building Connection with Multilingual Learners

Join us for this Talk about Teaching presentation on how to begin a conversation with multilingual learners (MLLs) in the classroom. Beginning the conversation with MLLs can be difficult, as we want to demonstrate respect and value toward each student’s abilities. However, offering support and creating connection can be the first steps in creating a positive classroom environment. The goal for this Talk about Teaching session is to share techniques for approaching students and having conversations with them to help them find the support they need.
