Sticky Faith Lecture

Bethel Seminary is proud to announce Kara E. Powell, Ph.D., as the 2015 Alumna of the Year. 

Kara will present her Sticky Faith Lecture based on her book, The Sticky Faith Guide for Your Family. Building on years of research about nurturing long-term faith in kids, Kara's book is a resource you can use right now in your family. About Our Speaker:

Kara received her M.Div. from Bethel Seminary San Diego in 1994. She is currently the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) and a faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary. Named by Christianity Today on their Women to Watch list, Kara is the author or co-author of 5 Sticky Faith books or curricula (2011-2014), Can I Ask That? 2: More Hard Questions about God and Faith (2015), Essential Leadership: Training Onramps for Your Youth Ministry Team (2010), Deep Justice Journeys (2009), Good Sex Youth Ministry Curriculum (2009), Deep Justice in a Broken World (2008), Deep Ministry in a Shallow World (2006), Help! I'm a Woman in Youth Ministry (2004), and Mirror, Mirror (2003). Kara is also a regular speaker at Youth Specialties National Youth Workers Conventions, the Orange Conference, the Simply Youth Ministry Conference, and other retreats and conferences across the country.
