Honoring God through Sports and Athletics: Coaches Tell the Story of Sports at Bethel
9:30-10 a.m. | Refreshments | $3
10-11 a.m. | Program | Free
Join us for a look at Bethel sports and athletics through the years. Hear from the following Bethel coaches about how the culture of athletics has changed, including how women's sports gained momentum, and how faith and sports continue to interact in the lives of athletes and coaches:
- Gene Glader, former coach, faculty member, and athletic director
- Tricia Brownlee, former coach, faculty member, and academic dean
- Steve Johnson, current football coach (by video interview)
If you have sports stories of your own, please stop by the oral history station before or after the program for a short interview with History Professor Diana Magnuson.
An offering will be received to further the important work of the Friends of the History Center.
