Event Description
Join us to hear from Dr. Katie Bonawitz as she shares her research on Finnish education. You'll hear about key principles, teachers, a school day, and the many elements that make Finnish education unique.
Dr. Bonawitz researched disabilities amidst world religions for her doctoral work. Other research areas include Finnish special education, collaboration with general and special education, and transformational teacher preparation. Her special education teaching specialties include history, legal issues, mild-moderate disabilities, consultation, and collaboration. She is currently serving as program director of Bethel University’s M.A. in Special Education and licenses.
