Event Description

The Friends of the BU Library celebrate their annual awards:

Prize for Library Research | First Prize | Christopher Bengtson
Christopher, a senior philosophy major, will share the research strategy for his project, "Forgiveness in the Face of Disagreement." Why does disagreement over the nature of an offense occur? How does it, if at all, complicate forgiveness? Using a philosophical approach Chris will seek to provide an explanation of these questions using a narrative model. The works of philosophers Paul Ricoeur, Jürgen Habermas, Charles Griswold, and Margaret Urban Walker will be engaged to provide an explanation and potential resolution to the problem at hand.

Prize for Library Research | Second Prize | Katie Anderson
Katie, a senior organizational communication major, will be recognized for her paper, "Siblings by Chance, Sustained by Choice: An Exploration of the Relationship between Relational Maintenance Behaviors and Relational Satisfaction in Sibling Relationships."

Connie J. Larson Memorial Scholarship | Ruth Nordquist
Ruth is a University Library Materials Services student worker.
