8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. | Welcome/What is Motivational Interviewing (MI)?

9:30 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.  | Training Sessions:

  • 4 Fundamental Processes of MI – Partnership, Acceptance, Compassion, Evocation
  • MI Skills – OARS
  • Change Talk and Sustain Talk

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. | Use of MI Skills and Strategies in Supervision

Keynote speaker: Jennifer Schaefer Loer
Jennifer is a social worker, motivational interviewing coach, and educator. Jennifer has 24 years of professional experience working in various roles with youth and families. Currently she serves as the Evidence Based Practice Coordinator for the Department of Community Corrections and does speaking and teaching on motivational interviewing in college settings.
