Event Description

Dr. Diane Krusemark, Bethel's registrar, will summarize her recent research with 12 traditional undergraduate students at two Christian liberal arts institutions in the Twin Cities. After briefly explaining her research methods, she will focus on her findings: the relationships and influences on the spiritual development of these students; their definitions of spirituality; their faith development according to James Fowler's Faith Development Theory; their definitions and experiences of academic, social, and emotional success--and the relationship of spirituality to this success; and their sense of belonging at home and at college. Dr. Krusemark will share some recommendations for practitioners as well.
