This discussion, led by a seasoned community development leader, will provide you with a framework to begin building bridges to your community. Join us for lunch and to hear from John Hughes, CEO of Metro Community Ministries.
About Our Speaker
Rev. John Hughes is the Chief Executive Officer of Metro Community Ministries, a 50-year-old faith-based organization that focuses on poverty with bases of operation in San Diego and Atlanta. In the last 19 years, under his leadership, Metro has grown from a local ministry to one that serves in 5 states and 7 cities. In 2016, Metro served 34,000 people; over the last 50 years, Metro has touched the lives of 700,000.
John also teaches at Bethel Seminary and is leading a fully online course on community development in January 2019.
