Event Description
The day camp helps young players (Grades 3-9) develop basketball fundamentals and build confidence in their skills. It's our goal to create an environment that provides both challenge and encouragement, allowing campers to develop a healthy self-image and a positive attitude toward the game of basketball.
For more than 30 years, the Bethel summer camps have taught players the high-level skills and playing styles used at the college basketball level. Under the direction of the Bethel University men's basketball coaching staff, and with the help of high school coaches and current Bethel players, campers are taught the skills, hard work, and competitive attitude that is necessary to help them improve and show respect for the game. Off the court, both the camp pastor and music leader provide non-denominational teaching of God-centered values and strong personal character development.
The Bethel Basketball Camps use the facilities of Bethel University--a beautiful, wooded campus on the shores of Lake Valentine in Arden Hills, Minn. The campus has an air-conditioned gymnasium with two full-sized basketball courts, a 50,000 square foot fieldhouse with four full courts, a training room, locker room with shower facilities, weight room, and air-conditioned classrooms.
