Event Description

This camp is a great first overnight soccer camp for your soccer player.  It is designed to develop self-confidence in a high-energy supportive environment while developing fundamental skills for all levels of soccer players. The camp will be broken into two groups: 4th-7th grade and 8th-12th grade

Camp Staff
Amanda Maxwell became the first fulltime head coach devoted to women's soccer at Bethel. A former Stillwater Area High School standout, Maxwell has coached Bethel's women's soccer program for four seasons and was a coach and director within the St. Croix Soccer Club. Maxwell compiled numerous accolades throughout her playing days, as she was Minnesota Ms. Soccer, an NSCAA All-American, and Gatorade Player of the Year in high school. Additionally, Maxwell was conference player of the year and an All-American at Marshall University.

Joaquin Izquierdo has coached with the St. Croix Soccer Academy club and has earned a USSF B licensure, NSCAA Advanced National diploma, NSCAA National diploma, and NSCAA goalkeeping level one and two diploma. He is also teh owner of Foottech. "I love soccer!" said Izquierdo. "Growing up in Merida Yucatan, Mexico, we lived and breathed futbol. We even went as far as playing in the streets. I want everyone who trains with me to enjoy the same passion and love for the game as I do."

Camp Assistants
Camp staff will also include other Bethel soccer staff as well as coaches from area high schools and colleges. Current Bethel players will assist as coaches on the fields and counselors in the residence halls. A certified athletic trainer will be on site for the duration of the camp.
