Event Description
The Bethel community and its friends are invited to the Bethel History Center's spring event:
History as Story: Passing on Wisdom and Blessing to Those We Love
9:15-10 a.m. | Coffee and Refreshments | $3
10-11 a.m. | Program | Free
Have you ever wondered about how to tell the stories from your life in such a way that they are interesting to read and something your loved ones will value? At this event, Dr. Dan Taylor will talk with us about how to turn our memories into stories that are rich and full of meaning. These stories become part of our spiritual legacy, an offering of wisdom and blessing from one life to another. As part of this talk, Dan will offer some guidelines and a bit of hands-on practice for identifying and passing on a spiritual legacy. While these principles are primarily designed for individuals, they could also be useful for someone writing a history of a faith community, such as a church or a mission group. We will provide handouts to participants, so please register here so we have enough material available.
An offering will be received to further the important work of the Friends of the History Center.
Dr. Taylor will also have some of his books available for purchase.
