Event Description
"There are times when it is better not to name God."
So wrote Walker Percy (1916-90) in an essay on why he was a Catholic, published in the year
he died. Dr. Dan Ritchie and Kelsey Widman ('16) explore the problem of naming God in Percy's
writings, and his novels' response to this problem. They will be presenting their paper at the
international Conference on Christianity and Literature at Harvard Divinity School in late March.
