Keynote speaker: Jennifer Schaefer Loer
Jennifer is a social worker, motivational interviewing coach, and educator. She has over 20 years of professional experience working in various roles with youth and families. Currently she serves as the Evidence Based Practice Coordinator for the Department of Community Corrections and does speaking and teaching on motivational interviewing training.

Overview of Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a theoretical foundation
Learn the spirit of MI: "Partnership, Acceptance, Compassion and Evocation"
Learn the Four Fundamental Processes of MI and specific strategies within the processes
Learn the MI skills of OARS
Gain an understanding of "Change Talk"
Participate in practice exercise to gain a "Taste of Motivational Training"
