Time: 9-12 p.m.

Description:

This camp is designed to develop skills for all levels of soccer players ages 5-12. Players will be split into two age groups during the week and will have a small team and Bethel Soccer player that will coach and be a role model for during the week. Campers will be developing fundamentals in all aspects of soccer in a fun and challenging way. In addition, the campers will be playing in a 4v4 tournament.

Camp Mission
At Bethel University's soccer camps, we strive to encourage the growth and development of young athletes to better reflect and live out the biblical witness of Jesus. We believe that Jesus has something very relevant to say regarding the way we compete, grow, learn, and challenge one another through sport. We strive to create an environment that is challenging, fun, and invites participants to challenge themselves to become better athletically, mentally, spiritually, and relationally.

Camp Staff
Jeremy Iwaszkowiec is beginning his first season as the head coach of the Bethel University Soccer Program. He is excited to bring a wealth of experience, as both a player and a coach, to Bethel. As a standout prep athlete in St. Louis, Mo., Iwaszkowiec won numerous awards, including St. Louis Metro Player of the Year, NSCAA Player of the State, NSCAA Player of the Region, and Gatorade All- American and Parade All-American. He played collegiately at Clemson University, where he was a starter and key contributor on two teams that reached the Elite 8, before losing to the eventual national champions both times. In 1998, the Clemson Tigers were ranked No. 1 in the nation for much of the season and won the ACC Conference Championship.

Ben Linder became the second full-time head women's soccer coach at Bethel University in May 2019. He previously served as an assistant for the Bethel men's team and was the Girls Coaching Director at Minneapolis United. Linder led Bethel to a 14-6 record in his first season which set a program record for wins in a season, leading the team to produce it's first-ever MIAC playoff victory.

Camp staff will also include other Bethel soccer staff as well as coaches from area high schools and colleges. Current Bethel players will assist as coaches on the fields and counselors in the residence halls. A certified athletic trainer will be on site for the duration of the camp.
