Event Description
Bethel University welcomes its Act Six semifinalists to participate in a suite of online events on Feburary 8. Semifinalists will have the opportunity to connect with Bethel and learn about its academic and community life. Below is the schedule:
Monday, February 8
8:30-9 a.m. | Welcome Program for Candidates and Families | Online via Zoom
9-10 a.m. | Faculty Seminar | Online via Zoom
10:25-10:55 a.m. | Chapel | Bethel's Vimeo account
11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. | Large-Group Interview | Online via Zoom
1-3:45 p.m. | Small-Group Interviews | Online via Zoom
Each candidate will participate in a Zoom interview during this block of time. The interview will be 15 minutes and will include 3 other candidates. Each candidate will receive their interview start time via email and will use the above Zoom link to join at that time.
3:45-4:30 p.m. | Closing Program | Online via Zoom
Monday, February 15
8 a.m.-4 p.m. | Admitted Student Visit Day | Optional on-campus Admissions visit
All candidates are also invited to spend a day on campus and experience life as a Bethel student. This is not an Act Six semifinalist requirement; it is an additional opportunity for semifinalists who would like an on-campus experience. Registration with Admissions is required.
About Act Six
An initiative of Degrees of Change, and in partnership with Urban Ventures and Bethel University, Act Six is Minneapolis-St. Paul's only full-tuition, full-need urban leadership award (worth up to $205,000). Each year Bethel University selects 10 of the Twin Cities' most promising urban leaders for Act Six scholarships. Each scholar graduates with a full-tuition funded college degree and is prepared to return to his or her community to make a lasting impact.
