Event Description
Are you interested in space and space exploration? Come join us for a hands-on Astronomy camp this summer with Bethel Physics & Engineering faculty. Possible topics for activities may include: telescope basics and set-up, basic observational astronomy (locating stars and constellations), colonization of planets/moons, basic "rover robotics," basic rocketry, how stars change over time, solar observation, and spectroscopy.
This is an astronomy camp for 7th-9th grade students to give them hands-on experience with observational astronomy and topics relevant to modern space exploration. This camp is a day-camp style structure with no overnight component. Exact schedule will be shared at a later date.
