Event Description

You're invited to participate in a community snow sculpture contest! This is the second in a series of community connection events for students, faculty, and staff, made possible by generous donations from the Board of Trustees.

Join the fun in one or more of these ways:

  • Form a team and enter the contest
  • Vote online for your favorite sculpture
  • View the sculptures and enjoy hot soup and hot chocolate on Thursday, March 4


Thursday, February 25 | 5 p.m. | Team registrations are due.
February 26 - March 3 at 4 p.m. | Teams create their snow sculptures.
Thursday, March 4 | 2-4 p.m. | Community Open House
Monday, March 8 | Winners are announced.

Team Details

  • Form a team of up to 10 people, decide on a team name, and register by February 25 at 5 p.m.
  • Teams can be a mix or match of students, faculty, and staff. Receive upfront bonus votes if your team represents more than one of these community areas. Two areas (for example, 1 faculty + 3 students): 3 bonus votes. Three areas (for example, 4 staff + 2 students + 3 faculty): 6 bonus votes.
  • Plan a spectacular snow sculpture with your team! Use anything you would like to bring your sculpture to life as long as it can be carried by hand to your sculpting site (no motorized vehicles). Exceptions: Glitter, spray paint, and water are not allowed!
  • Complete your sculpture by 4 p.m. on March 3.
  • Online voting will occur from 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, until noon on Friday, March 5.
  • Winners will be announced in e-announcements on Monday, March 8 (winning teams will also receive an email).


  • 1st Place: Dinner with President Ross and Annie, Bethel winter hat, hot chocolate, Royal Grounds beverage card
  • 2nd Place: Bethel winter hat, hot chocolate, Royal Grounds beverage card
  • 3rd Place: Bethel winter hat, Royal Grounds beverage card
