Event Description

The sun will undergo an annular eclipse on October 14, 2023 between 10:29 a.m. and 1:11 p.m. Minnesota will be able to view a partial solar eclipse during this time - even though it's only a partial eclipse, solar eclipses are fairly rare, and it's still pretty cool to watch the Moon cover up the Sun! This viewing event is open to everyone (students, faculty/staff, and the general public). Come join us to safely observe the eclipse using one of Bethel’s telescopes with a solar filter or a pair of eclipse glasses.

This event is weather-permitting. Check this website on the day of the event in case of cancellation due to poor observing conditions.
