Event Description
Bethel University Education Undergraduate and Graduate Programs are jointly hosting a new, unique opportunity for all current and future education professionals. Current students, Bethel alumni, and Bethel partner schools will engage in professional development, networking, learning community tables, job/career opportunities or interviews, and career counseling resources. Whether you are job seeking or not, this is a great opportunity to discuss and learn from other colleagues in the field of education.

4:30-5:30 p.m. - ANC Level 3 - Professional Development (CEUs) -
Presenter: Dr. Peg McCormick
This one-hour professional development session begins with an overview of optimal student mental health, common threats to mental health, and the signs of early-onset mental illness. Participants will learn about the impact of toxic stress on mental health and how to respond when a student experiences a mental health crisis. The hour will conclude with hopeful perspectives on the power of relationships and suggested best practices for creating a therapeutic classroom environment that promotes safety and well-being for K-12 students who experience the challenges of compromised mental health.
5:30-6 p.m. - ANC Level 4 - Light Refreshments / Network Time
6-8 p.m. - ANC Level 4 - Networking, Learning Community Tables, Career Coaching, and Interviews
