Event Description

We warmly invite you to a special Primetime event dedicated to honoring the legacy of Bethel’s first Reference Librarian, Carol Hansen.

Join us for an inspiring conversation featuring:

  • David Hansen, Carol’s talented son, who will discuss his stunning painting inspired by her, now proudly displayed in the Bethel Library.
  • Jen Grace Stewart, Carol’s niece, a poet and English professor, who will share some of her poetry along with reflections on Carol’s impact and legacy.
  • Michelle Westmark Wingard, Bethel art professor, who will offer insights on making and remembrance.

David Hansen is an art director, painter, and printmaker who has worked commercially with J. Crew, Crate and Barrel and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Jen Grace Stewart, Bethel class of 2000 is a poet, author, and Assistant Teaching Professor in the Program for Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Michelle Westmark Wingard, Bethel class of 2000 is an artist, Professor of Art, and Director of Bethel's Art Galleries.
