Registration A $50 non-refundable application fee is due at the time of registration. Final payment will be due by May 1.

Active Camper tuition ($950) includes room and board, activities, private lessons, and participation in all classes and recitals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided as well as daily snacks. Please indicate any dietary restrictions on your registration application.

Observer tuition ($500) includes access to classes and recitals minus the performance component, lunch, and snacks. A student entering 3rd grade is allowed to register as an observer if accompanied by a parent. Overnight accommodations are not provided.

Event Description

Bethel University Summer Piano Academy is a week-long camp with lodging, meals, and many fun activities for students entering grades 4-12. It is designed for piano students to foster their musical talents and artistry, to hone in on their performance skills, and to nurture their love for the arts. Students will be able to interact with their peers and build long-lasting friendships. They will be exposed to a lot of ideas under the guidance of some of the most caring and dedicated music educators in the region. Additionally, non-performing students may register and participate as observers only. Observer space is limited.

Co-Artistic Directors: Dr. Tina Park and Dr. Horacio Nuguid
Faculty: Dr. Herbert Johnson, Dr. Sara Langmead, Dr. Ji Young Lee, Dr. Anton Meinichenko, Dr. Horacio Nuguid, and Dr. Tina Park. With Guest Artist, Professor Alexander Braginsky.

Camp includes:

 

Overnight accomodations (Active Camper only): Students will stay in Heritage Hall. In close proximity to Benson Great Hall, Heritage consists of suites, each with 3 bedrooms, a semi-private bath, and living area. Each bedroom has two twin XL beds; students will share a bedroom with one other student and a suite with 3-5 other age- and gender-appropriate students. Elementary students will stay in the same suite with 3 other students and a counselor. Bedding is provided; please bring your own towels. Students will be supervised by camp faculty as well as several Bethel Resident Assistants. Take a virtual tour of the dorm.

Cancellations

Cancellations before May 1 are fully refundable, less the $50 application fee | Cancellations on or after May 1 are 50% refundable, less the $50 application fee | Cancellations after May 15 are non-refundable. Registration will close on May 1.
