Event Description
Family Life Education (FLE) is a professional field that equips individuals and families with the essential knowledge and skills for fostering healthy relationships and navigating life transitions. FLE differs from traditional counseling or therapy, in that it focuses on prevention and competency development before problems escalate.
Dr. Brule will share an overview of the interdisciplinary roots of the field and highlight the different settings where Family Life Educators work as well as explain its importance as a bridge between research and real-life strategies for building a thriving society.
Bethel recently met the criteria for the Certified Family Life Educator credential as part of its Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies program.
