Event Description

Members of the local Twin Cities film and media production community, students, faculty, alumni, and members of the Bethel community are invited to join the Bethel University Communication Studies Department for a special movie screening.

The Short Game, directed by (Bethel Alumnus) Frank Sanza, written by Frank Sanza, Larry Boatright, and E. Joren Christensen, is a heart-warming story based on Frank's own life as a high school golfer, and the challenges, choices, and life lessons that accompanied his athletic gifts.

“Telling this story through a relationship with an autistic child is a reflection of Frank’s current life as the adoring father of a high-functioning autistic son and his desire to bring awareness to the talents of such children. In these difficult times, a story of hope, values, redemption, faith, and family is needed more than ever. This timeless story is also the perfect inspirational tale for any season of life.”

The screening will be preceded by a networking mixer featuring student media productions and opportunities for those in professional media industries to discuss internship opportunities.

After the screening, there will be a short Q&A session with the director/executive producer and a reception in the CLC Lobby.

The event is co-sponsored by the Bethel BUILD program and the Bethel Golf Teams. This film celebrates many of our communities here at Bethel and we hope you can join us for this special event!
