Join speaker Danielle Patterson for this exciting workshop that will help you increase your skills in working with overcontrolled clients and children with trauma.
9am-12pm - Overcontrolled Clients: Dysregulation by Another Name (3 CEU's)
Learning Objectives:

Differentiate between low motivation and the overcontrolled client

Understand different phenotypes of nervous system dysregulation

Identify overcontrolled clients, their risks, strengths, attachment needs, and etiologies

Evaluate the systemic limitations of traditional psychotherapy on overcontrolled clients

Understand interventions that can support felt safety and healing for overcontrolled clients
1pm-4pm - Cleaning Up the Cat Hair: Understanding Trauma-Related Triggers
Learning Objectives:

Begin to identify cats versus cat hairs as it relates to triggers in a trauma survivor's world

Differentiate between behaviorally-based and attachment-based interventions for trauma-related behaviors
-
Understand how the impact of attunement from caring adults can change the trajectory of a traumatized child’s life
-
Begin to identify sources of pain and priority problems to create action plans for hurting children
MN BOSW CEUs will be offered! 3 CEU’s for the morning session, 3 for the afternoon session or 6 for the entire day.
