Matt and Nicole Paschall are missionaries in Budapest serving at the front lines of the flow of refugees fleeing Syria and Iraq. The Bethel Seminary students first arrived to Hungary from Senegal in December 2014 to create a leadership development process for individuals in countries around the world. Now they're being called upon to help address the refugee crisis.
Part of their mission is to provide basic necessities, like food, blankets, winter clothes, and shoes. Matt and Nicole have an immediate goal of training and equipping European church leaders to reach refugees with the long-term goal of developing a global partnership of leaders who would work together to do the same.
Says Matt, “We believe we’re anchored here for the next season of our ministry to encourage God’s church in Europe to rekindle their gospel vision for reaching the lost—even as we distribute food, blankets, and shoes.”
