Dawn Schuette
Military and Veteran Services

Biography
I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, and attended Bethel for two years, from 1991 to 1993. I graduated from the University of St. Catherine in 1996 with a degree in occupational therapy. Since then, I have lived throughout the United States, including Washington, North Carolina, California, and Virginia, as a U.S. Marine Corps spouse. During these years, I worked in the field of occupational therapy in a variety of settings, including owning a business and providing services at the U.S. Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia. In 2017, my family decided to permanently move back to Minnesota after my husband retired from the Marine Corps with 24 years of service. I enjoy my position because it gives me a great opportunity to serve military students at Bethel.
My Role
I am Bethel’s Veterans Administration (VA) certifying official. I help students and parents understand their VA benefits, military education benefits, and how to apply those toward a Bethel University education.
