1. New Track at Royal Stadium

Fans filled Royal Stadium to watch the Royals take on the Hamline University Pipers. This was the second football season on the artificial turf, but the recently completed nine-lane track is new to Royal Stadium this year. The Royals found a Homecoming victory over Hamline, 49-14.

Students, alumni, and Bethel friends of all ages enjoyed the second annual Alumni Marketplace, and nearby they had the opportunity to interact with animals at Little Blue’s Traveling Zoo. 5. Homecoming Week Chapels

On Monday of Homecoming week, instead of holding Chapel in Benson Great Hall, community members gathered with their academic departments in different locations across campus to enjoy worship and fellowship in a way that was unique to their academic area. Wednesday’s Chapel celebrated Bethel and included special appreciation for staff and faculty. Friday’s Chapel featured astronomer and Bethel Alumna of the Year Deborah Haarsma ’91.
