Opening a window offers a faster way to class.
Trent Barker admitted to reporters that he had purposely taken out the screen in his dorm window.
Barker said that he wanted a quicker route to class, so he planned on crawling out the window and scaling down the wall.
“It really was a brilliant idea,” said Barker, “It saved me 32 seconds that I normally would spend walking into the hallway and down the stairs.”
Bethel Security caught Barker in the act around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Bethel Security had received an anonymous tip that there was a student scaling the side of a residence hall. Barker had taken the screen part way out when the flashing lights of Bethel Security came into sight. Barker easily admitted defeat and was assessed a $25 fine. Barker was also placed on window-screen-removal probation.
