A 3,400-square-foot chapel and conference center, three new classrooms, and additional office space. For Bethel Seminary San Diego, this expansion is coming close to being a reality. Construction will begin when $3.5 million in cash is donated or pledged.
On November 5, 2009, a foundation dedicated to the effectiveness of Bethel Seminary San Diego announced a $1 million challenge match. New gifts and pledges for the campus expansion received by March 31, 2010, will be matched.
“We are asking God to stretch us in our thinking—to make the classroom not just a place of innovative learning, but a center for spiritual renewal, and then find ways to take students beyond our walls to adventures of applying ministry in the world,” says John Lillis, dean and executive officer of Bethel Seminary San Diego.
