Biography
Dr. Abdelbaset's current role is Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Ponce Health Sciences University. His responsibilities encompass engagement with accrediting bodies and the
Department of Education to uphold the standards of National, Regional, and program-specific accreditation. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing new programs as well as collaborating closely with curriculum committees to advance and enrich existing offerings. His focus centers on optimizing the student experience, both administratively and within the classroom setting. He possess exceptional communication abilities, enabling him to effectively convey complex lecture materials to students in a relatable manner. Likewise, he has established productive communication channels with Deans, Faculty, and Staff, fostering seamless collaboration. He has successfully overseen departmental and programmatic budgets. He has worked closely with Admissions teams as well as Student Services to be the bridge that brings Academics and Student Affairs together to work towards the best possible student retention and outcomes.
